Privacy Policy

When you create an account we store your first and last name, email address, and optionally your grade level and school.

When you use the product we store the material you paste or upload, the resources Prabgun generates from it, your quiz and test attempts, study sessions, saved calculations, and the classes, activities and calendar entries you add to your schedule.

We record a monthly count of AI generations to enforce plan limits, and the IP address attached to contact form submissions for abuse prevention.

Each time you sign in we record technical information about the sign-in itself — when it happened, the internet address it came from, and approximately where that address is. Section 12 sets out exactly what that is, why we keep it, who can see it, and for how long.

When marketing measurement is turned on, we also record how you arrived at Prabgun — for example, which of Prabgun's own campaigns or posts you followed a link from. Section 15 describes what that is, and the Cookie Policy says whether it is currently turned on.

Prabgun can record a lecture through your device's microphone, or take an audio file you already have, and turn it into a transcript you can study from. This part of the product is optional and you drive every step of it. Nothing is recorded, uploaded, transcribed or read aloud unless you ask for it, and each of those is a separate thing you choose to do.

When you use it, we store the recording you make or upload and the details that describe it — a title you give it, the original filename if you uploaded one, how long it runs, its size and audio format, and whether it has been transcribed yet. When you ask us to transcribe it, we store the transcript too.

From a transcript you can generate the same kinds of study resources you can generate from anything else — notes, a summary, a study guide, flashcards, a quiz, and so on. You can also ask Prabgun to turn one or more study materials, transcripts or saved study resources into an audio lesson: a single spoken version you can listen to. We store the audio we generate for you, and the point you had reached the last time you listened, so you can pick up where you left off.

We process all of this to provide the parts of the service you asked for: to produce the transcript, to let you read it back, to generate the resources you request from it, to create and play the audio, and to resume it where you stopped. We also count how much you have transcribed and generated, so we can apply your plan's limits and protect the service from abuse.

Your recordings, transcripts and audio lessons are private to your account on the same terms as the rest of your work, described in section 7. They are not published, are not visible to other users, and audio is served to you through your signed-in session rather than from a public link.

A recording of a class usually captures more than your own voice. It can pick up your instructor, the people around you, and whatever anyone in the room happened to say — including things about themselves that they would not expect to be written down, stored, or sent anywhere.

Prabgun has not asked those people for anything and cannot obtain their permission for you. We do not check whether you were allowed to record, and nothing in the product should be taken as telling you that you were.

Deciding that is your responsibility. Before you record, follow the rules that actually apply to you: your school's or institution's policy, what your instructor allows, and the law where you are — which in some places requires the agreement of everyone being recorded. Prabgun cannot tell you whether a particular recording is allowed. If you are not sure whether you may record, ask first.

If you have recorded someone and they ask you to remove it, you can delete the recording and its transcript yourself. Anything you already generated from that lecture — notes, flashcards, an audio lesson — is a separate item and stays until you delete it too. Section 11 describes both.

You can add up to five associated contacts — a parent, guardian, family member, or another trusted person — so that you can email your own study resources and schedule to them.

For each contact we store the email address you enter, a normalised form of that address used to detect duplicates, the relationship you select, an optional display name, and the dates the contact was added and verified.

An address you type is not usable until its owner confirms it. We email that address a one-time verification link, and until it is followed the contact stays pending and cannot be chosen as a recipient. This is what stops an address being added to somebody else's account without their knowledge.

An associated contact is a recipient and nothing more. It is not a login, it does not create an account, and it gives no access to your Prabgun account, your work, or anything you have not explicitly sent.

Nothing is sent to a contact automatically. Every email is one you ask for, at the moment you ask for it, addressed to recipients you pick from your own verified list. Changing a class or calendar entry never notifies anyone.

When you email a resource or your schedule, the message contains only that resource or the schedule entries it covers. It does not include your account details, your grades, your quiz history, or anything else from your account.

The server accepts only your own verified email address and your own verified contacts as recipients. An address that is not on that list cannot be used, even by a request that names it directly.

We do not collect payment card details. Card data goes directly to our payment provider and never touches a Prabgun server. We store only the customer identifier that provider gives us, and your subscription status.

Because paid plans are currently available in the United States, our payment provider also asks for a US address when you check out. Prabgun does not store that address.

Prabgun products contain no advertising trackers and no analytics provider is enabled by default. Prabgun's own first-party marketing measurement, when it is turned on, is described in section 15; it involves no third-party analytics provider.

Your notes, generated resources, quiz history, uploaded files, lecture recordings, transcripts, audio lessons, schedule and associated contacts are scoped to your account. This is enforced by database security rules on the server, not by hiding things in the interface.

Your associated contacts are not visible to any other user, and cannot be read from a browser other than your own.

Prabgun staff can access account records for support and abuse investigation. Staff access is limited by role, and privileged actions are recorded in an internal audit log.

Prabgun does not run every part of the service itself. To operate it we send data to outside providers, each of which receives what that particular job needs and is used only for it:

• Authentication, database and file storage — a cloud platform provider verifies your sign-in and holds your account record, your saved work and the files you upload
• Payment processing — a payment provider takes your card details, runs the charge and manages your subscription
• Transactional email — an email delivery provider sends the messages the service has to send, including contact verification and any resource you choose to email
• AI generation, transcription and speech — an AI model provider receives your study material to generate resources from it, receives a lecture recording when you ask for a transcript, and produces the spoken audio when you ask for an audio lesson
• Rate limiting and abuse protection — an infrastructure provider counts requests to keep the service from being overloaded or abused, and sees those counts rather than what is in them
• Hosting — a hosting provider runs the application you are using

This policy describes the kind of provider rather than naming each company, so that it stays accurate when one is replaced. If you want to know who they are — before you decide to use a feature, or in support of a request about your own data — ask us at info@prabgun.com and we will tell you.

What these providers do with what we send them is governed by each provider's own terms. This policy does not restate those terms, and does not make a promise on their behalf about training or retention, about deletion, or about where in the world processing happens. It states what Prabgun does.

Prabgun requires account holders to be 13 or older. We ask you to confirm this when you sign up and record that you did.

Prabgun does not operate a verifiable parental consent process, and is not built to serve children under 13. Adding a parent or guardian as an associated contact does not change that: it makes them a recipient of what you choose to send, not a party to your account.

Prabgun is sold to individual students, not to schools, and has no agreement with any educational institution. It makes no claim under FERPA.

You can edit your profile at any time, and add or remove associated contacts from your settings. Removing a contact takes effect immediately and stops them being available as a recipient.

You can delete a lecture or an audio lesson yourself, whenever you want, from the Lectures page. Deleting a lecture removes the recording and its transcript together. Deleting an audio lesson removes the audio and the listening position saved with it.

You can delete a study material you uploaded, from the Materials page. That removes the file itself and the text Prabgun read out of it, and returns the space it was using to your account.

You can delete a saved study resource — notes, a summary, a study guide, a set of flashcards, a quiz, or anything else Prabgun generated for you — from the page that resource is on. Deleting a quiz also deletes its answers and every record of your attempts at it.

Sources and what you make from them are deleted separately, in both directions, and neither takes the other with it. Deleting a lecture or an uploaded file does not delete the notes, flashcards, quiz or audio lesson you generated from it — deliberately, so that reclaiming space does not cost you your study material. Deleting one of those does not delete the file or recording it came from. If you want both gone, delete both.

You can ask us to delete your account, or to send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Neither is self-service: there is no self-service delete button today, and no download button. Send the request through our contact form or by email to info@prabgun.com, from the email address on your account so we can confirm the request is yours, and a member of the Prabgun team will respond to it.

If you have a paid plan, cancel it from Billing before you send a deletion request, so that no further charges are made while the request is handled.

You can opt out of marketing measurement at any time from Your privacy choices in the Cookie Policy. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Prabgun treats that as an opt-out for that browser.

Keeping your account yours needs a small amount of information about how it is being used. Each time you sign in, we record the date and time, the internet (IP) address the sign-in came from, an approximate location worked out from that address, and which method you signed in with — a password or a Google account.

The location is APPROXIMATE and comes from the network, not from you. Your internet address is looked up against a database that maps addresses to areas, which gives us at best a city, a state or region, and a country. It is not GPS, it is not your device's location, and it is often not where you are at all: on mobile data, on school or campus Wi-Fi, or through a VPN, it can resolve hundreds of miles away. We do not collect coordinates, a street address, or a postal code, and Prabgun never asks your browser for your location.

We use this to keep accounts secure and the service usable: to confirm a sign-in happened, to help you or our support team work out whether someone else has been getting into your account, to investigate abuse, to apply rate limits that stop the service being overwhelmed, and to understand at a country and region level where Prabgun is being used. We do not use it for advertising, we do not use it to build a profile of you, and it is never given to the AI features — nothing about your sign-ins is sent to an AI provider or used to personalise what Prabgun generates.

You can see your own most recent sign-in — the date and the approximate place — in your profile, under Security. Prabgun staff can see this as part of the account access described in section 7; the full internet address and the list of recent sign-ins are restricted to our most privileged administrator role, and any export of this information is recorded in our internal audit log.

We do not keep it indefinitely. Detailed sign-in records are limited to the fifty most recent for your account and are deleted once they are more than 180 days old, whichever comes first. Alongside them we keep a short summary — your first sign-in and your two most recent — for as long as your account is open, because that is what actually answers the question of whether an account has been accessed by someone else. A request to delete your account covers these records too, as described in section 11.

We do not record which browser or device you use, and we do not use fingerprinting of any kind.

Account data is kept while your account is open, and a request to delete your account is handled as described in section 11. Removing an associated contact deletes that contact's record.

A lecture recording, its transcript and any audio lesson are kept until you delete them. We do not remove them for you on a schedule, and this policy does not state a period for them, because none is set. If you ask us to delete your account, they are covered by that request along with the rest of your data, as described in section 11.

Sign-in records are the one thing with a stated limit, described in section 12, because that limit is enforced by the application itself rather than by a policy nobody applies.

The marketing measurement cookie described in section 15 expires in your browser after 90 days. Marketing measurement records linked to an account are included in what a request to delete your account covers.

We have not set fixed retention periods for backups or abuse records, so this policy does not state one. We will state them here once they are decided and enforced.

Prabgun is currently offered in the United States. Some states give their residents additional rights over their personal information. Prabgun makes no compliance claim under CCPA or any other privacy law.

Regardless of where you live, you can reach the choices described in section 11 from your settings or by writing to us.

Prabgun measures which of its own campaigns, social media posts and links bring people to the site, so it can tell what works. When this is turned on, a first-party cookie records how you arrived: the campaign source, medium and name in the link you followed, identifiers of Prabgun's own content in that link, the page you landed on (without anything typed into it), the website that referred you, your approximate country and state as indicated by your network connection, and the time. It holds no name, email address or account identifier. The Cookie Policy names the cookie and says whether it is currently in use.

If you create an account while it is in use, that information is linked to your account through a coded reference rather than your name or email address. Prabgun uses the result to count, in aggregate, which campaigns and channels lead to signups, active use of the product and subscriptions, and to compare what it spends on marketing with what that marketing achieves. Geographic results are only looked at in groups large enough that no individual can be singled out.

Prabgun does not use this to show you ads, does not build an advertising profile of you, and does not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. It is not used when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or after you opt out as described in section 11.

If Prabgun advertises on another platform, it receives aggregate performance reports from that platform, such as how many times an ad was shown or clicked and what it cost. Prabgun does not upload lists of its users or signups to advertising platforms. Prabgun never sends advertising or social media platforms your study materials, uploads, lecture recordings or transcripts, essays, grades, quiz history, academic profile or anything else you create in Prabgun.

If this policy changes materially we will notify account holders by email.
